HSSN: First of all, what year are you?
Matt: Junior.
HSSN: And what position do you play?
Matt: Center.
HSSN: In terms of play style, would you say you have a style that you model your game after?
Matt: Yeah, I like to play after Patrice Bergeron, just a defensive forward- work on my draws, I'm pretty good at draws and just staying back and looking after other people.
HSSN: What are you guys looking to do to finish off this year strong? I know it's coming down to the last couple weeks.
Matt: Just come to every practice ready to go and every game. We only have so many left. And just be ready for the future and even next year. We're not losing too many guys.
HSSN: Do you keep track of your stats, your goals and stuff like that?
Matt: Yeah
HSSN: How many do you have this year?
Matt: I have eight goals and four assists.
HSSN: Cool. I'm trying to pump up as many players as I can here. I know you're only a junior, but do you have any post-high school plans or are you still figuring that out?
Matt: I would like to go to UMass Amherst, you know I've always wanted to go to UMass Amherst, but I'm still looking around right now.
HSSN: You're a captain. How'd that come about?
Matt: Well, we lost all of our captains last year. Two seniors and a junior left for prep school so we had four new captains coming in, and I was an assistant captain.
HSSN: Did you grow up in Dennis Yarmouth area?
Matt: Yep, I grew up in Dennis played hockey for Tom Poti pretty much my whole life and I just stayed in Dennis.
HSSN: Cool. That is all I got for you, man.
